Over at the Edge site DarkKnight has announced that Edge might be about to bite the bullet. A post has also appeared in the Edge forum talking about a possible merger proposal between Vavoom and Edge.<br><br>Is that proposal for real? If so, now would be a good time to get in touch with DarkKnight because it looks like he might be giving up if he doesn't get help or motivation of some kind...

Adding some effects won't be hard to do. But i think that Boom compatibility is something people want more than other effects.

The best feature that Edge has is the ability to add as many new enemies/items/weapons as you want without having to go scraping for free frames like with Dehacked.<br><br>My question is, What kind of DDF(or similar) support does Vavoom have? Is it possible to define new custom things and still maintain all the old things?<br><br>Vavoom with 100% DDF support would be awesome! (or at least a vavoom equivalent as powerful as DDF)How likely is that to happen?

Vavoom does have it - VavoomC scripting language, that allows you to do almost anything. And BTW there's an DDF to VavoomC converter available.

Yes, you can add as many enemies as you want and do other cool things as well. All of the gameplay code in Vavoom has been written in VavoomC.
